These floor-level shower areas are suitable for the small bathroom
Floor-level showers are a must-have in every small bathroom. Due to their low height they merge formally with the ground. As a result, they are barely visible, which makes the room airy and larger. But not only their small height should be considered when setting up a small bathroom. Equally crucial for a space-saving bathroom design is its shape. Find out which three types of floor-level shower surfaces are particularly suitable for small bathrooms.
Square shower surface As smaller the dimensions of a shower surface are, the better they are suitable for small bathrooms. As a rule, 80 x 80 cm is considered sufficiently large for showering comfort and at the same time small enough for maximum space savings. This dimension already makes clear that square shower surfaces are ideal for small bathrooms. Finally, why should a side be cut longer and unnecessarily take away space, if already the shorter side is quite sufficient. Of course, some room dimensions make it possible to use rectangular shower surfaces - but if every inch counts, square shower surfaces are the answer.
Pentagonal shower surface: Pentagonal showers are comparable to square shower surfaces. The difference, however, is that the front corner is beveled, giving the shower surface five corners. Depending on the size of the bathroom, this is extremely important because it saves valuable space in front of the shower. The shower comfort is not missing: Since especially right angles corners of a shower are rarely used, the loss of one is not a problem.
Quarter circle shower surface: The same applies to pentagonal shower surfaces, also applies to quarter circle shower surfaces. Here there is only the visual difference that the missing corner is rounded. The end result, however, is the same: there is additional space that can be used meaningfully in a small bathroom.
