TitanCeram – ceramic material of the future
By thinking of ceramics, you often think of the manufacturer Villeroy & Boch, a company that has been in touch with the latest trends for more than 270 years with its ceramic products for both the table and the bathroom. The experts in Mettlach are constantly developing new products. To continue to be innovative in terms of material and design, the traditional German company has developed a new material called "TitanCeram".
This material innovation is regarded as a milestone in the ceramic research and is a fusion of natural raw materials such as feldspat, quartz, clay and titanium dioxide, making it possible to create especially delicate forms with clearly defined edges, without losing its stability and robustness. Already in 2015, the first Villeroy and Boch wash basin made of TitanCeram was presented and convinced with its clearly defined edges and unusual design. No wonder it did not take long before the first design award for the wash basins made of TitanCeram were conferred.
In 2017, the Villeroy and Boch bathroom ceramic series Finion has been the winner of the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award 2017.
