For more than 100 years, the well-known manufacturer of sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture, taps and bathtubs, today known as Ideal Standard, is convincing us today. All took its course with the founding of the "National Radiatorgesellschaft" in 1901. At that time, the focus was on the production of cast-iron radiators and cast-iron boilers for housing construction. Only in 1926, after the merger of the American parent company with the "Standard Sanitary Corporation" resulting in the "American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation", the company entered the sanitary sector. Even at that time the traditional company was already known for its sanitary ceramics made of crystal porcelain. In 1950, the company changed its name to "Ideal Standard GmbH" and is now active in more than 30 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

In addition, the company is appreciated for its m-tech membrane technology combating lime deposits, and its scratch-free Ideal Plus glaze ensuring that water and dirt can roll off easily.
